As well as writing and recording my own material, I’m also part of a small collective of musicians known as Leawood Saints, featuring myself, my husband David McMurray, Roo Stewart and Rick Bleakley. Have a listen to our Christmas EP released Dec 2012.

irish whistles in worship

The book was finally published today! It’s taken far longer than anticipated. I had no idea what a minefield publishing is! I’m awaiting my proof copy in the post and as long as everything looks ok, I’ll release details on where it can be purchased. As far as I know, it will cost about $20/£12. Watch this space!

music

I trained as a classical musician and did my degree in music, majoring in performance as a flautist. I have played music my whole life, so it’s no surprise that it has become my livelihood in various ways. I began playing with Robin Mark back in 1995. We started out as one of a number of worship bands at Christian Fellowship Church, Belfast and I don’t think any of us imagined the adventure we were about to embark on. I played with Robin until 2010, when I decided to go travelling and booked a round the world ticket, travelling solo! I still play whistles of course, mostly with other talented worship leaders and musicians here, such as- Roo Stewart (www.roostewart.com), Ian Hanna (www.ianhannahmusic.com), and Leawood Saints (www.melodium.com). I also continue to write and record my own material. I am currently working on a soaking/chillout album with some friends of mine, which will hopefully be available by the end of the year and will feature lots of whistles and other weird and wonderful sounds!

Hello!

05/23/13

Welcome to my new website. I’m just getting started here, so please bear with me….

I am currently reworking my book ‘Irish Whistles in Worship’, which is a whistle tutorial and also contains many of the whistle parts I wrote and played on Robin mark’s albums. There have been a few glitches with it unfortunately, so it might delay publishing for a few more weeks, but I’ll have it up here for purchase as soon as possible. Watch this space!

Thanks for stopping by!
